Jedna se roku 2004 t\u00fdkala p\u0159edn\u00edch sv\u011btel, druh\u00e1 pot\u00e9 p\u0159edn\u00ed masky.  Nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00ed takzvan\u00e9 \u201ebum\u201c p\u0159i\u0161lo letopo\u010dtu 2007 s generac\u00ed \u010d\u00edslo t\u0159i. Jednou z prvn\u00edch obrovsk\u00fdch zm\u011bn bylo to, \u017ee se n\u00e1m nov\u011b Impreza p\u0159edstavila tak\u00e9 jako hatchback. Druh\u00fdm velmi z\u00e1sadn\u00edm krokem bylo, \u017ee se i tyto vozy \u201edo\u010dkaly\u201c naftov\u00fdch motor\u016f, nicm\u00e9n\u011b vrcholn\u00e9 verzi se nafta vyhla obloukem (na\u0161t\u011bst\u00ed). Na sedan jsme si museli po\u010dkat cel\u00e9 3 roky po p\u0159edstaven\u00ed hatchbacku. Nicm\u00e9n\u011b na v\u00fdb\u011br se z\u00e1kazn\u00edk\u016fm nyn\u00ed dostalo dvou v\u00fdkonnostn\u00edch model\u016f u WRX (227 a 265 kon\u00ed), nejdrav\u011bj\u0161\u00ed mo\u017enost byla op\u011bt \u201ees-t\u00e9-\u00ed\u201c s ni\u010d\u00edm jin\u00fdm ne\u017e dvou a p\u016fl litrem a turbem a jak jinak ne\u017e t\u0159emi stovkami kon\u00ed. Sportovn\u00ed proveden\u00ed se pozvolna s dal\u0161\u00edmi generacemi \u00fapln\u011b odklonila od n\u00e1zvu Impreza a nyn\u00ed se tedy vyr\u00e1b\u00ed jen jako Subaru WRX STI. Pod kapotu se nav\u00edc op\u011bt vr\u00e1til \u010dty\u0159v\u00e1lec, na s\u00edle stroje se ale nic nezm\u011bnilo. St\u00e1do kon\u00ed z\u016fstalo \u00fapln\u00e9. S nov\u00fdmi modely samoz\u0159ejm\u011b p\u0159ich\u00e1zelo spoustu \u00faprav \u0159\u00edd\u00edc\u00edch jednotek, zav\u011b\u0161en\u00ed, diferenci\u00e1l\u016f a spousty dal\u0161\u00edch komponent\u016f. Posledn\u00ed generace bohu\u017eel m\u00e1 ji\u017e \u0159adu odp\u016frc\u016f, podle kter\u00fdch u\u017e tyto vozy nemaj\u00ed nic spole\u010dn\u00e9ho s prvn\u00edmi t\u0159emi a u\u017e to nen\u00ed ta ona slavn\u00e1 rallye legenda na norm\u00e1ln\u00ed silnici.
